Terms of Use
The terms for using the Astro Lord app, website and API, including subscriptions, consultations and limits of liability.
On this page
These terms are an agreement between you and Kulveer Singh (“we”, “us”), who runs Astro Lord. They cover the Astro Lord app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the website astrolord.in and the Astro Lord API. By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Astro Lord.
1. What Astro Lord is
Astro Lord calculates Vedic (Jyotish) and Western astrology from birth details and locations: charts, dasha, panchang, muhurat, calendars, matching, maps and meters. These are interpretations of a traditional system, offered for guidance, reflection and cultural or religious practice.
Astro Lord is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice, and it does not predict outcomes with certainty. Don’t make decisions about your health, safety, money, legal matters or relationships based only on Astro Lord. Our Disclaimer forms part of these terms.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or use Astro Lord under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you. You may add birth details of other people only if you have the right to do so, for example because they agreed or because you are a child’s parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for what happens in your account and for keeping your device and Apple account secure. Give accurate details; readings depend on them. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Delete account).
4. Plans, subscriptions and purchases
- Plans. Astro Lord has a free plan and paid monthly subscriptions (currently Regular, PRO and GOD Tier). What each plan includes is shown in the app and on our Pricing page. We may change which features are in which plan; if a change removes something from a plan you’re paying for, it applies from your next renewal.
- Billing. Purchases in the app are made through Apple’s App Store and charged to your Apple account. Apple’s terms of sale also apply.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Price changes. If we change a subscription price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask you to agree before you’re charged the new price.
- Extra profiles. An extra profile is a one-time purchase that adds a profile slot to your account. It is consumed when bought.
- Coupons and offers. Promotional codes are personal, can be used once per person, have no cash value and may carry their own conditions or expiry. We may withdraw a code that was shared publicly without our permission.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Consultations with an astrologer
Ask & Consult lets you send a question to an astrologer on WhatsApp. A consultation is a separate service between you and the astrologer: its price, timing and form are agreed with you on WhatsApp before you pay, and it is not part of any app subscription. The astrologer’s views are their own interpretation and the limits in section 1 apply to them too.
6. Acceptable use
When using Astro Lord, you agree not to:
- use it to harass, threaten, stalk or discriminate against anyone, or to make decisions about another person that harm them (for example, rejecting someone for a job, tenancy or marriage solely because of their chart);
- add someone’s details without the right to do so;
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the app’s readings, data or content in bulk, except through a paid API plan;
- reverse-engineer the app, extract its API keys, call our API outside the app or a valid API plan, or bypass plan locks or usage limits;
- interfere with or overload our servers, or try to access data that isn’t yours;
- break any law.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If it’s not urgent, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to explain.
7. Business API
If you use the Astro Lord API:
- Keep your API key secret. You’re responsible for all use of your key.
- Usage is measured in units and limited by your plan’s monthly quota and rate limits. Unused units don’t roll over.
- Paid plans are billed in advance each month through the payment method shown at sign-up. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid month.
- You may show API results to your own users inside your product. You may not resell raw API access or build a competing astrology API from it.
- If you send us personal data of your users, you must have a lawful basis (such as their consent) and tell them in your privacy notice. We process that data only to return results to you.
- When showing results to your users, include a note that astrology is not professional advice.
- We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee it unless we’ve agreed a written service level with you. We’ll give reasonable notice of changes that break existing endpoints.
8. Our content
The app, website, engine, text, designs, wallpapers and the Astro Lord name and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple’s Usage Rules. You can save wallpapers and screenshots of your own readings for personal use. Planet data comes from NASA JPL’s public-domain ephemeris; map data and imagery belong to their providers and are shown with their attribution.
9. Content you send us
You keep ownership of what you write (notes, questions). You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Astro Lord to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Astro Lord accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. It may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering Astro Lord, we’ll give you reasonable notice and stop charging subscriptions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any decision you make or don’t make based on a reading, timing, prediction or consultation;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, opportunities or data;
- our total liability to you for any claim about Astro Lord is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that applies to you.
12. Indemnity
If you use Astro Lord in breach of these terms or the law, and a third party makes a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Astro Lord or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at support@astrolord.in so we can try to resolve any problem informally. If we can’t, the courts in Punjab, India have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a consumer complaint where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Astro Lord after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can stop using it and delete your account.
